Onboarding Specialist

CMC Markets is seeking an Onboarding Specialist with at least 1 year of AML / KYC compliance experience to join our Premium Client Management team. This role supports account applications for both our Canadian and Bermuda offices ensuring a seamless and compliant client onboarding process while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of our business.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct comprehensive reviews of new and existing client account applications for both Canada and Bermuda ensuring completeness accuracy and adherence to internal policies

Review and process account documentation including KYC AML sanctions checks and financial appropriateness assessments

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in internal systems including timely periodic reviews and updates as needed

Collaborate with internal teams to communicate onboarding requirements clearly resolving KYC-related issues efficiently with a focus on first-time accuracy

Identify and escalate potential risks or red flags promptly to the appropriate stakeholders ensuring consistent compliance and client support

Meet and maintain KPI and SLA targets both individually and as part of the wider team

Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and the overall client experience

Provide ongoing administrative support to ensure smooth business operations including :

Regulatory and compliance administration support

Client service and sales trading administrative support

Finance and payments administrative support

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 year of AML / KYC compliance experience in financial services

Solid understanding of AML standards. Knowledge of relevant Canadian regulations is an asset

Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Business Finance Economics) preferred

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills when reviewing and validating client application information and documentation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Enthusiasm and passion for the financial services industry
