Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program
Our Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program is a two- to four-year rotation-based program that allows new engineers to develop their skills in three core groups over 6 to 12 month terms. EITs will work in each of FortisAlberta’s three core engineering groups :
Additionally, EITs can rotate through other engineering specialties according to their interests and business needs. These groups include Standards & Projects Engineering, System Planning, Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Planning, Metering & Telecommunications, Power Quality, Asset Management, SCADA (with exposure to Control Centre Operations), and Regulatory Engineering.
What Are We Looking For?
FortisAlberta is looking for an Engineer in Training who, under the direction of the Manager Engineering / Senior Engineer, will gain skills and experience through training and development, coaching and mentoring while supporting the Engineering team on various assignments.
