Responsibilities
Review production processes, systems, and procedures with the intent of promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Make recommendations and implement continuous improvement programs for production and maintenance processes, as well as processes upstream from production
Monitor market for production and associated technology and make upgrade recommendations to management for new equipment or other systems that would increase plant efficiency
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance control systems focusing on improving efficiency and minimizing cost
Develop and maintain KPIs like MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) relating to production quality and efficiency
Help develop and manage process documentation and share production efficiency analyses with operations as needed
Maintain an up‑to‑date assets folder and ensure maintenance histories are accurately recorded
Optimize preventative maintenance programs for all production equipment and supporting infrastructure
Work with suppliers and OEMs to ensure proper maintenance procedures, intervals, and parts specifications are followed
Knowledge of JD Edwards, work order management, and tracking equipment history and maintenance records is an asset
Technical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline
Strong knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards
Proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Office 365, 3D Building Information Modeling (“BIM”) software such as Tekla Structures, Virtual Simulation software such as Siemens Technomatics, with exposure to other engineering related Manufacturing Resource Planning (“MRP”) software being an asset
Previous experience or co-op placement in precast concrete considered a definite asset
Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies (., RCM, TPM, condition‑based monitoring)
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for scheduling and tracking maintenance activities is an asset
Ability to interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and OEM maintenance specifications
Experience analyzing maintenance data to identify trends, failure modes, and improvement opportunities
Business Requirements
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience with time management and creating Key Performance Indicators (“KPI’s”)
Desire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment
