Job Description

Part of the AI & Data Science team, the Business Intelligence Developer, will collaborate with teams to craft engaging reports and dashboards in PowerBI, integrating visualizations with data pipelines.

You'll optimize data querying and backend structures and enhance clarity and engagement through top data visualization practices.

Your role includes designing charts, graphs, and maps while refining visualization workflows. Additionally, you'll conduct training sessions and create documentation to empower users in utilizing BI tools and conveying complex data insights.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with analysts and stakeholders to design insightful and visually appealing reports and dashboards
  • Create interactive and static dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure clarity, accuracy, and user engagement
  • Design visual elements (charts, graphs, maps) that effectively communicate data insights
  • Implement efficient data querying techniques and optimize backend data structures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data visualization requirements
  • Conduct thorough analyses to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with business goals
  • Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and other IT professionals to integrate visualizations with data pipelines
  • Design and implement data models that support efficient data retrieval and analysis
  • Clean, transform, and prepare data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for visualization
  • Provide training sessions and documentation to help users understand and utilize BI tools and visualizations effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or other related fields
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in analysis and data visualizations & experience in BI development using PowerBI (or similar tools)
  • Good command of English and French
  • Work experience with PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, SQL, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Apache Spark.
