Your Role

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for delivering technical support and assistance across all GC / TFN computer systems. This role includes performing routine system maintenance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and monitoring overall system performance to ensure reliable and secure operations throughout the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff in person, by phone, or remotely.
• Log and track incident resolutions.
• Install and troubleshoot hardware and software.
• Set up and maintain IT related office equipment.
• Monitor antivirus and data backup systems.
• Maintain inventory and manage equipment lending.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Assist external technicians when needed.
• Provide emergency on-call support.
• Stay current with emerging technologies.
• Manage staff access to systems (email, VPN, shared drives).
• Monitor and maintain security cameras.
• Support and troubleshoot phone systems.
• Monitor satellite phones, cell phones, and spot devises.
• Allocate and track cell phone per policy.
• Other related duties as required.
