Job Description :

The contractor will support system-level debug activities across firmware, hardware, and software in a pre-silicon environment.
The role includes analyzing issues, driving root cause identification, collaborating with engineering teams, and contributing to improvements in emulation methodologies and tools.
The contractor will help ensure technical milestones are met by managing dependencies, planning deliverables, and executing pre-silicon coverage on emulator systems.

Requirement / Must Have :

Ability to debug and support system issues across firmware, hardware, and software.

Ability to provide root cause analysis and clear guidance for issue resolution.

Ability to review dependencies, milestones, and deliverables with cross-functional teams.

Ability to define and execute pre-silicon coverage on emulator systems.

Ability to lead technical discussions and contribute to tool, script, and methodology improvements.

Ability to manage priorities and meet business goals.

Experience :

Experience with low-level debug and emulation of SoCs and embedded systems.

Experience with emulation system debug and industry-standard emulator tools.

Experience with Verilog, C, C++, assembly, Tcl / Tk, Python, or similar scripting languages.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to understand new technical concepts quickly.

Experience working in dynamic engineering environments.

Ability to independently drive tasks with high levels of ambiguity.

Responsibilities :

Debug and support system issues in firmware, hardware, or software during pre-silicon emulation.

Provide root cause analysis and guide issue closure for internal and external teams.

Review and plan project dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.

Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams.

Define and execute pre-silicon coverage on semi-custom systems.

Drive technical discussions and innovations related to system emulation and debug.

Develop tools, scripts, and methodology enhancements.

Manage priorities to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.

Should Have :

Strong understanding of system architecture, including x86 and Client.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.

Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.

Skills :

Knowledge of debuggers, programmers, and related tools (e.g., JTAG, Dstream, Lauterbach).

Working debug knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Familiarity with Git, GitLab, GitHub, or similar repository systems.

Understanding of graphics, display, PCIe, power management, or security / crypto concepts.

Qualification And Education :

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

At least five years of industry experience.
