Practice Manager (Bookkeeping Firm)

Transcounts is a fast-growing accounting firm based in Langley, BC. We specialize in outsourced bookkeeping, fractional Controller / CFO services, payroll, and tax support for small and mid‑sized businesses across Canada and the USA.

Location : Langley, BC (200 St / 56 Ave). Hybrid : 1 day per week WFH allowed after probation; 2 days per week WFH after 1 year.

Base Pay Range

CA$60,000.00 / yr - CA$80,000.00 / yr

Role Overview

The Practice Manager will lead delivery for a portfolio of 30–50 small bookkeeping clients, ensuring accurate financial operations, timely reporting, and an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly bookkeeping, accounts payable / receivable, sales tax filings, and year‑end preparation.
• Own the client experience end‑to‑end, strengthening communication and trust.
• Lead quality oversight across your client portfolio.
• Hold bookkeepers and reviewers accountable to SOPs and Quality Checklists.
• Improve documentation flow, banking access, and communication channels.
• Represent clients confidently in CRA / IRS reviews and handle non‑audit escalations.
• Own onboarding for assigned clients, with support as needed, and ensure the tech stack is configured correctly from day one.
• Record client meetings (unless the client declines) and save meeting notes in ClickUp for team visibility.
• Provide daily / weekly asynchronous updates with bookkeepers and reviewers.
