Instrument Technician

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Instrument Technician role located in Leduc, AB. The Instrument Technician will be responsible for the installation and calibration of instrumentation and control systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include testing instrumentation functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining accurate service records. The role also requires working collaboratively with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems
• Strong troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and repair skills
• Understanding of industry certifications, codes, and safety standards (e.g., ASME, CWB, ABSA)
• Knowledge of oil and gas processing equipment and operational requirements
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently or with a team
• Must have a Journeyperson Instrument Technician certificate
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or oil and gas industry environment is a must
