The Development Manager is a full time, 40 hour per week, permanent position, responsible for leading the direction of Wildlife Rescue’s robust Fund Development program.

Established in 1979, Wildlife Rescue Association of BC is a leader in the rehabilitation of wild animals and iscommitted to educating the public on how to coexist peacefully with wildlife. Located in Burnaby, BC, we are western Canada’s busiest wildlife rehabilitation centre, with an average of over 6,000 animal patients admitted each year.

Highlight of Key Responsibilities :
Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Fund Development department consisting of adiverse team of communications, marketing, and fundraising professionals
Develop annual and multi-year plans to achieve fundraising goals and objectivesIn collaboration with the Co-Executive Director, create and monitor the annual Fund Development budgetOversee initiatives, and regularly evaluate planned activities, in order to measure success, makerecommendations, and effectively communicate to the Executive team for presentation to the Board of Directors, Membership, and other stakeholders
Manage high-value relationshipsCultivate talent within the Fund Development team and explore opportunities for growthAct as a senior leader within the organizationWork closely with management from all departments to develop and maintain collaborative practices that support each department’s needsProvide additional support as needed for all fund development activitiesKey Qualifications & Experience :
Minimum 2 years of management experience with the ability to lead and motivate other in a remote team environmentKnowledge in developing, maintaining, and monitoring a program budget, and the ability to report back on KPIS and program milestonesExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster meaningful relationships with externalstakeholders
Excellent organization and time management skills with the capacity to be highly adaptable to changing prioritiesExceptional proofreading, editing, and writing skillsProficiency with Salesforce CRM database, or similarFundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word and ExcelCertified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation an assetOR the right combination of skills and experience—we are looking for the right fit for our team and encourage all interested candidates to applyNote :
