Job Summary
The AME is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Policy Manual and in accordance with the Detailed Procedures Documents.
AMEs are also responsible for ensuring all aircraft technical documents and Canadian Aviation Regulations are adhered to.
- Duties & Responsibilities Ensure maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals and Transport Canada requirements;
- Maintain an AME M2 license and ACA qualifications, as required, on company aircraft; Acquire and maintain Airport Security Clearance, AVOP, Passport, and full G’ Driver’s License Responsible for mentoring new Apprentices;
- Liaise with the Lead and MOC with regards to scheduled assigned overnight work packages; Ensure that all Porter technical documentation, such as maintenance releases, associated with defects or Work Packs is accomplished as per company standards prior to submission to Technical Records;
- Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, and generate logs for any equipment that requires repair; Responsible to ensure the consumable materials and tooling stored in the hangar and service vehicles are maintained in a neat and tidy manner;
- Responsible for supporting AOG maintenance system wide as required; Assist the Lead in ensuring the hangar work areas, including all locations in hangar, office, and storage facility as well as service vehicles and equipment are kept clean in an effort to maintain a safe work environment;
- Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations;

Qualifications Embraer E-Jet experience an asset Experience with Honeywell Epic Avionics suite considered an asset Previous experience on the E1 platform preferred Holder of valid passport Ability to obtain airside clearance (RAIC) with associated background checks Ability to obtain and AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator Permit) Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR’s) Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to delegate effectively Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written Working knowledge of AMOS, a maintenance software platform, considered an asset Must be available / able to travel to Brazil for acceptance inspections on new E195-E2 aircraft as well as for training requirements #LI-Onsite
