CBO Earthworks is seeking an experienced individual to join our growing team. This role will focus on creating and managing GPS programs, surveying, drone mapping, ensuring accurate machine control, and supporting project layout requirements. The individual will work alongside our team lead as well as provide leadership to our other survey assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive site drawings from engineering and create survey programs for projects.
- Upload, manage, and troubleshoot programs within Trimble and Leica GPS systems for machine control.
- Perform layout, grade checking, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy on site.
- Coordinate and supervise Surveyor Assistants, delegating tasks as required.
- Work collaboratively within the department as well as with project managers, site supervisors, and equipment operators.
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
Qualifications
Proven experience programming GPS units (Trimble and / or Leica).Strong background in machine control setup and troubleshooting.Ability to perform layout and grade checking with precision.Strong workload management and ability to manage multiple projectsLeadership ability and willingness to train or supervise assistants.Safety-focused mindset with relevant field certifications (CSTS, First Aid, Ground Disturbance considered assets).Strong organizational and communication skills.Job Details
