Duties

  • Provides support for IT related issues and requests
  • Manage end user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provides urgent telephone and remote coverage
  • Available for 24 hour on call rotation
  • Monitor, document and analyze network performance across The Royal’s LANs, WANs, and wireless deployments.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
  • Assist in threat risk assessments to identify technology and business risks for current and future projects.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of cyber security roadmap.
  • Performs other duties as required and requested by Information Technology management.
  • Works in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient / client safety practices, policies and procedures of the Royal.
  • Ensures a work environment that is conductive to the Royal’s Respectful Workplace policy.

Qualifications :

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science with at least 2 years of experience as a Network support resource with a focus on cyber security.
  • A good understanding of LAN and WAN environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Active Directory Federated Services
  • Experience using vulnerability scanning tools and managing vulnerabilities
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 / 2019, Microsoft cloud services and PowerShell would be an asset
  • Experience with Security systems including Firewall, Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, Intrusion Detections, Web and email gateways and end point protection
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Server, Group Policy, Microsoft Print Services, WSUS, Windows Deployment, NPS, DNS and DHCP
  • A good understanding of backup and recovery
  • Demonstrated ability and initiative to independently stay abreast of current and emerging information technology security trends, cybersecurity threat and vulnerabilities
  • Demonstrated skill in problem solving and troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network connectivity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven track record of ability to work in confidence across all levels of a highly dynamic organization.
  • Available to work overtime as required.
  • Available to work on call and on rotation.
  • Must have car and able to travel occasionally between sites across Eastern Ontario
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading and writing.Bilingual (French / English) is an asset.
  • Salary Range : 42.21 to 48.72 per hour
