Responsibilities

Play with and test the latest displays, following written methodologies and thoroughly examining every feature

Analyze test results to verify quality and performance

Troubleshoot performance issues and find solutions

Record detailed test results and maintain accurate documentation

Recheck results as methodologies are updated or in response to user questions

Engage with users and communities to stay ingrained with new developments

Other duties as assigned

Personality

You enjoy researching and comparing products, often spending weeks researching before purchasing

You have a critical mind and like to analyze things; data-driven

You take pride in helping others find the best products to suit their needs

You embrace continuous learning and stay updated on the latest display technologies and products

Your methodical approach ensures thorough and accurate testing

You often get more enjoyment out of comparing differences in products rather than using them as intended

Qualification / Experience

Background working with displays (manufacturing, selling, etc.) is an asset

DEC in a related field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent degree is a strong asset

We're open to hiring either an entry-level candidate, or one with more experience as follows :

Tester I

Entry level position, but other levels can be achieved within two years of employment.

Salary range : $52-$57K

You are a hobbyist for one or more of the products we test

You are looking to learn how to test our products and grow into Level II

You have a basic understanding of how products are tested

Tester II

Note : Further advancement exists beyond this role.

Salary range : $63-$87K

You are involved in hobbyist communities

You have a deeper understanding of how products are tested and have performed such tests for at least 2 years

You have relevant work experience

Senior

Salary range : $78-$105K

You are a recognized voice in hobbyist communities

You are a specialist in product testing and can collaborate on creating or improving testing methodology

You can draw deep understanding from product testing data

You have leadership / management experience
