We’re on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Manager on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
Role :
The position is responsible for ensuring that the program's products and services meet contractual and divisional quality requirements.
Tasks :
- Lead the quality engineering team, assign work and priorities.
- Ensure the implementation and compliance of the quality management system, including compliance with specifications, costs, and delivery dates.
- Provide risk analysis, project planning, budget, and resource requirements.
- Recommend improvements to processes and procedures in collaboration with other managers.
- Compile data and KPI indicators relating to quality.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the achievement of program objectives.
- Supervise process and product compliance audits both internally and with subcontractors. Ensure effective corrective actions.
- Analyze data and performance indicators, identify improvement potential and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Collect lessons learned data and generate improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications required :
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering with interest in the manufacturing of complex machined parts, electromechanical assemblies, or PCB printed circuits
- Ability to exercise leadership in your discipline.
- Be a good communicator in French and English.
- Have a spirit of collaboration and teamwork.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5), AS 9100 quality standards and aerospace labor standards is also a requirement of the position.
- Computer skills (word processing and electronic calculation applications) are also necessary.
Asset for the position :
- 2 to 5 years of experience supervising technical staff.
- Auditor training
- Training in quality engineering and / or continuous improvement (APQP, CQE, Six Sigma)

Special Considerations :
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
