Student Program Eligibility Requirements
You must be attending school, college or university during the last school term and returning to your studies in the subsequent academic year. Verification will be required. Enrolment in a formal co‑op program is not required.
International Students
International students must be attending school full time, possess a valid study permit and may require a valid co‑op work permit when applying for a co‑op position. Note that international students can only participate in co‑op work terms for up to 50% of their total program of study (example : a 2‑year diploma program is limited to two co‑op work terms).

Position Title
Summer Student – Parking Services
Duties
- Perform manual parking counts in on‑and off‑street locations in a variety of weather conditions and related data processing.
- Gather data from automated systems (loops, detection cameras, ALPR).
- Conduct parking analysis using software applications and MS Excel.
- Write reports and documentation and create presentation materials.
- Prepare for and attend public events.
- Make field visits, take measurements and conduct public surveys.
- Work with GIS maps.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required to assist with daily operations.
Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled in a Degree or Diploma program at a recognized post‑secondary institution in one of the following fields : Civil Engineering Technology, Transportation Engineering, Community / Transportation Planning, Computer Science (Analytics‑Business Intelligence focus), Geographic Information Systems (GIS).Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.Additional Hiring Information
A current Driver’s Abstract is required when applying to this job posting. Submission of RCMP Security Clearance may be required.
Pay Rate
$24.27 per hour plus 14% in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
Work Schedule
Days of Work : Monday to Friday
Standard Hours per Day : 7 hours (8 am to 4 pm)
