We are seeking motivated Summer Agronomy Students to support our Agronomy team at our Crossfield Agro Centre and assist with tasks such as crop scouting, soil sampling, and general operational duties. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a positive attitude in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Position :  Summer Agronomy Students

Term :   Temporary contract expected to begin in April or May of 2025, with an approximate end date of September 15, 2025.

Full-time :  40 hours per week.

Availability requirements :  Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with crop scouting and field trials to gather data and support agronomy decisions
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests
  • Maintain the chemical shed and ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals
  • Deliver chemicals as required, following safety and operational guidelines
  • Complete some general operational duties to support facility needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications :

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Background in agriculture is an asset
  • Valid Drivers Licence and ability to provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
