LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking a  Medical Lab Technologist  to join our High Volume Chemistry team in  Burnaby, British Columbia (3680 Gilmore Way). Relocate to  Burnaby, BC! (Candidates MUST be eligible to work within Canada & reside outside of British Columbia)

Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes. This is a great role for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a  part-time regular role working 20-37.5 hours per week with flexible shift work  suitable to the maintenance of a healthy work / life balance. LifeLabs facilities are also known as teaching laboratories offering opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment, 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.

Shifts :  Flexible shifts working 22.5 hours per week, with the possibility to rotate through days, evenings, and nights.

Note : This is a union role and the internal deadline is January 24, 2024.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
• Performing, interpreting and releasing results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
• Identifying incidents and non-conformities, participating in the development of effective corrective action plans, escalating as appropriate and driving continuous improvement.
• Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
• Participating in problem solving in work organization and workflow.

Hiring Range : $32.99 to $40.70

The hiring range has been established, however, the final salary recommendation will be determined based off the level of experience, education requirement, external market conditions and internal equity.
