Description de postePosses a Government of Canada secret (level II) security clearance or have the ability to obtain one. Ability to remain alert while on duty. Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift. Must complete the online Commissionaire Security Officer Course Be willing to obtain a BC security worker's license. Be comfortable using computers. Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills. Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour. Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing. Have excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations. Location : DND Sites (CFB Esquimalt, CFAD -Rocky Pt , 443 Helicopter Squadron)
Shifts : Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts
Schedule : Various Shifts
Reports to : Site Supervisor
Starting Wage : $20.00 / hr - $21.41 / hr
Job Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
- Provide access control and security foot / mobile patrols as needed.
- Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
- Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
- Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
- Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
- Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
- Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.
- Perform all duties with high safety standards.
