Job Title : Facilities Supervisor

Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join their team.
Position Description :
- Manage parts inventory where it pertains to critical spares, min max systems for consumable, widely used parts and components.
- Order replacement parts and spares as required, Keep Team informed when ordered and arrived.
- Manage PM System. Report deficiencies to Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager as required.
- Modify PM checklists and frequency as required to improve effectiveness of the PM program. Perform regular audits to ensure Team usage and % complete.
- Manage the Annual contracts of the facility contractors where it pertains to the Chillers, Towers, Compressors, Heating and Air conditioning, waste water, cranes. Switchgear and main electrical feed / capacitor banks, Stamping line scrap conveyor.
- Ensure Contractor service is scheduled and on-time, obtain quotes as required for repairs and open issues are brought forward, report to the Team and closed in a timely manner.
- Maintain all Internal and Contractor work completed to support IATF Audits and ISO.
- Obtain quotes as required for repair and maintenance of facility and related equipment.
- Request annual working Capital for Facilities and Equipment improvements.
- Obtain quotes for Capital projects and spare parts. Review details with Manager.
- Back up the Maintenance Supervisor in his absence
- Assist in generating the weekly project list with the Maintenance Supervisor
- Manage the Maintenance Fabrication project list and work orders pertaining to the Fabrication Team. Hold Daily and TOP weekly Meetings.
- Maintain open issues list and prepare for Holiday shut down work.
- Schedule contractors for planned shutdown work.
- Perform Annual Reviews for your Team members.
- Suggest changes / improvements to working conditions and equipment
- Must carry a cell phone at all times and respond to all calls in a professional manner
- Adheres to all safety rules and regulations as dictated by the Employee handbook
- Enforces all safety rules and regulations
- Review Monthly Safety Talks.
- Performs all job functions abiding by the office / work standards, policies and procedures as outlines in the company handbook.
- Performs all job functions in alignment with IATF quality management standards and ISO
- Actively participates in continuous improvement
- Maintain S standards in working environment
- Attend training based on the internal training matrix
- Performs all job functions in a safe, healthful and environmentally conscious manner, abiding by all health, safety and environment rules and regulations as outlined in the company handbook
- Performs other duties as assigned or any reasonable request by management.
Skills & Qualifications :
years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentExperienced with large scale Facility projects and equipment upgrades.Industrial Electrician / Mechanic License or other equivalent technical certification / diplomaAbility to manage and motivate experienced maintenance personnelWell versed in a variety of production equipment ( stamping presses, injection moulding machines, welders robotics and general assembly)Understanding of PLC controlled equipmentExcellent organizational and communication (written / verbal) skillsGood understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenanceAbility to prioritize breakdowns, rectify the problems with permanent solutions and minimize downtimeBe prepared to occasional after hours call-in and personnel delegation in crisis situationsFamiliar with security system and after-hours response support.If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.
