Your new roleAs a Legal Assistant, you will provide critical administrative and legal support to lawyers managing a wide range of tort personal injury cases. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms
- Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating court appearances
- Organizing and maintaining client files, both physical and electronic
- Assisting with trial preparation and document organization
- Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
You’ll be an integral part of apassionate and high-performing team, helping ensure smooth file progression and exceptional client service.
What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you should have:
- A Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in personal injury or litigation law
- Solid understanding of Ontario’s Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Primafact, PC Law, MS Office)
- Excellentmunication skills and a client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
