Description de posteCurrent Standard First Aid with CPR C or greater is mandatory Minimum two years recent experience working in a high-volume fast-paced recreational / camp environment with children / family Positive outgoing and professional attitude with a passion for working with children Previous experience facilitating / hosting many types of games crafts activities interactive programming etc and commanding the attention of children Graduate or student of an Outdoor Recreation / Ecotourism Tourism Early Childhood Education or College of Piping program an asset Must be physically fit and able to run all activities in any weather including walking hiking playing sports (includes water sports) Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs and be on your feet for 8 hours a day One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $4 / meal) Discounts while using our resorts Food & Beverage Outlets Fitness Centre Spa and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Courses
Fairmont Banff Springs is looking for an energetic individual to assist in the delivery of our Resort Activities program through both the Youth Activities & the Outdoor Recreation Centre. Resort Activities Animators should have a wide variety of talents but above all should have excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
Starting Rate : $21.27 per hour
Please Note : This is a temporary casual position without staff accommodation; applicants must have or be able to secure their own housing. Preference will be given to candidates available from November 18 to February 18 .
Job Duties Include :
- Facilitate and present activities for youth families and adults independently or with other Animators.
- Set up clean and sanitize all activity spaces and equipment before during and after programs.
- Supervise and engage children ages 312 in a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Support daily operations of the Resort Activities Centre including rentals and product sales.
- Contribute new activity ideas and assist with program development and other assigned tasks.
