Process Engineer

POSITION :

You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team in the role of Process Designer ( / Engineer if you hold a P.Eng.). You will develop and deliver conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design packages through to CQV for GMP-compliant integrated process equipment and unit operations used in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical drug substances and products.

SUMMARY :

Working under the guidance of a senior engineer you will be responsible for :

• Design Basis Development
• Process Alternatives Evaluations
• User Requirement Specifications (URS)
• Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
• Process Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Process Integration of Unit Operations
• Equipment Plot Plans and Layout Drawings
• Equipment Sizing and Specification
• Commissioning & Qualification Protocol Development and Execution

SKILLS :

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering design environment or within the pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical industry.

LOCATION :

The primary work location will be in our main Oakville, ON office. However, a significant aspect of the role will involve intermittent international travel, including extended periods (up to 50%) spent at equipment vendors for Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and at the client's site for Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) activities.
