Aviva Canada Inc. offers a unique opportunity within our Distribution team. We are seeking a dedicated SVP, National Distribution Partners to develop and execute strategies that enhance our national distribution channels.

This role involves building and implementing a comprehensive distribution strategy to support business growth, leading national broker relationships, managing KPIs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams including Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Underwriting, and Pricing. The focus is on innovation, performance, and profitability to shape the future of Aviva Canada's distribution channels.

What you'll do :

  • Deliver a consistent and effective national relationship experience with top brokers.
  • Collaborate with regional Business Development leaders on national relationships and KPI management.
  • Identify emerging issues and develop strategies to ensure long-term viability and profitability across Commercial and Personal Lines.
  • Focus on profitability and improve Broker and Consumer NPS scores.
  • Work with Underwriting Leadership to set and monitor sales and profitability targets.
  • Set annual priorities and initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and grow effective national relationships, proactively addressing issues.
  • Monitor the external competitive environment.
  • Review underwriting policies and practices, providing recommendations.
  • Represent the company to regulators, customers, suppliers, and external bodies.
  • Develop controls to manage corporate risk.
  • Lead projects related to distribution and broker community strategies, including change management.
  • Oversee Risk and Control, Training, and Analytics functions to support data-driven decision-making.

What you'll bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) desirable.
  • Over 15 years of extensive property & casualty experience with leadership, marketing, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and creative thinking abilities.
  • Significant decision-making responsibility impacting business outcomes and reputation.
  • Ability to motivate and develop teams.
