Osler will also play a critical role in the development of Ontario’s next net-new Medical School, in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), and as part of its transition to an Academic Health Centre. Reporting to the Vice President, Facilities Operations and Capital Development, the Director of Construction will have an extraordinary opportunity to lead transformative construction initiatives that will shape the future of healthcare for one of Ontario’s fastest-growing regions. In this role, you will oversee critical projects like the expansion of Brampton Civic Hospital’s cancer care program and the transformation of Peel Memorial into Brampton’s newest hospital. These projects will increase capacity, enhance specialized care, and create a state-of-the-art healthcare environment for a diverse and rapidly expanding population. Your leadership will directly impact the well-being of over 1.3 million people, ensuring they receive world-class healthcare close to home for years to come.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader of people and teams and brings a track record of effectively leading large-scale capital projects preferably within the healthcare sector. This individual will be relationship-oriented and build strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders. They will provide strategic leadership to their team to ensure that the project moves through each stage in an efficient and effective manner. They will be a collaborative, solutions-oriented and results-driven leader who will be able to provide effective oversight to large, complex projects.
