We are looking for a Project Warranty & Service Coordinator to join our team. The Project Warranty & Service Coordinator will work with clients to resolve warranty and service matters upon project completion for project sites on behalf of the Manitoba Buildings Group.

This position will require some travel to project sites.

What You Will Be Working On

Assist the Project team with deficiencies in a successful Turnover of our projects to the client.

Tour project sites in advance of completion to gain a full understanding of the project and warranty items.

Schedule, complete and manage warranty walkthroughs with clients.

Complete basic minor repairs as needed such as painting, door hardware, drywall repairs, etc.

Lead the coordination, planning and execution of warranty & service activities through email and phone calls, site meetings, etc.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to completion of repairs and service work.

Foster and maintain positive relations and communication with clients.

Demonstrate strong communication skills while interacting with others.

Assist in project billings and work with the accounting team to ensure timely payment of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures.

Lead project warranty introduction at or near substantial completion with project stakeholders.

Conduct reviews and investigations of work complete and warranty requests.

Maintain record of warranty activities.

Complete price estimates as required for additional work orders outside of warranty scope.

Provide periodic coverage of active project sites as required.

Provide leadership and guidance to warranty & service staff including scheduling warranty calls and assigning work tasks.

What We Are Looking For

Service and results-orientated, being able to build and steward trust with a broad network of excellence, pride in teamwork and outstanding service after project completion.

Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration.

Relevant trade education and experience in fields such as : carpentry, drywall, mechanical, or electrical.

Relevant experience in commercial construction in roles such as Project Manager or Project Superintendent is considered an asset.

Capable of reading and understanding project blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.

Intermediate level computer skills.

Experience using Procore, Microsoft Project, or other Project Management software is considered an asset.

Strong communication, organization and time-management skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.
