Reporting to the Manager, Employee Relations, the Employee Relations (ER) Advisor will contribute to the overall success of the Employee Relations Team. The ER Advisor plays a key role in advising on complex performance and employment situations while navigating employment and legislative requirements. Focus is on performance resources, tools and guidance to foster consistency that delivers winning results and strong case management. This position is open to candidates nationally.
What You’ll Do
- Provide coaching, feedback, support and guidance to leaders on performance management, discipline, human rights matters, involuntary terminations, risk assessment and execution of various types of terminations.
- Case‑manage and report employee relations inquiries and cases to identify trends and themes.
- Identify and correct performance behaviours to foster consistency that delivers winning results and strong case management.
- Advise on complex performance and employment situations while navigating employment and legislative requirements.
- Provide disability case‑management support in partnership with third‑party case managers and Well‑Being Specialists on employee return‑to‑work planning, substance abuse case‑management, workplace referrals and accommodations.
- Deliver and/or coordinate with HRBPs or other SME teams leadership effectiveness workshops related to performance management, discipline, terminations and human rights matters.
What You’ll Have
- Degree/diploma in Human Resources is an asset.
- 3‑5 years of related work experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on Employee Relations.
- Excellent knowledge of Federal Employment Legislation and Policies.
- Ability to build relationships, influence change, and communicate strategies to elevate levels of performance and drive efficiencies.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong initiative and action orientation with a sense of urgency to get things completed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

Schedule & Location
Schedule: Full time, day shift. This is a regular position with no defined end date.
Work Location: 800, Gauchetiere O, Bureau 4000-Place Bonaventure – Montréal. Travel required up to 10%.
Background Check(s): Canadian criminal record check is required.
All corporate employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of four (4) days per week starting October 6, 2025, increasing to five (5) days per week effective February 2, 2026.
