Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer focused Inside Sales Quoting Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The role is responsible for preparing accurate and timely sales quotes supporting the sales and manufacturing team while ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the quoting process.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Respond timely to customer and internal intercompany inquiries by preparing detailed quotations for new manufactured product repair of tools and material requests.

Coordinate the cross-functional inputs as necessary to complete detailed estimates of heavy machined and welded products with manufacturing materials programming planning quality assurance engineering outside sales team and functional leadership.

Assess internal / external customer technical drawings materials requirements specifications and other technical criteria and communicate as necessary with internal functional team members to assure technical compliance in the quotation preparation.

Determine customer delivery schedule for items included in the quotations coordinating with the relevant cross-functional team members.

Prepare detailed quotation level profit and loss statements.

Complete quotation entry in SAP ERP System.

Other responsibilities as defined in site and group Quality Management System

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervision

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED required.

2 years experience in a customer service / inside or outside sales or related field(s)

4 years experience in a machining manufacturing fabrication manufacturing engineering environment or related field of business.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint) with advanced skills in MS Excel.

Ability to read interpret and understand manufacturing drawings technical specifications and quality requirements.

Requires the ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with internal / external customers management and suppliers.

Demonstrate ability to make and recommend effective business decisions

Demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making process.

Ability to manage and balance priorities in a very dynamic working environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITES

Associates or bachelors degree in a technical field preferred.

Experience in a complex machining business in a technical capacity
