Maintenance Technician (Hope)

Overview

Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth. We operate a state-of-the-art greenhouse facility in Delta, BC, with a new facility underway in Hope, BC. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Hope) to support our Hope facility by ensuring the daily execution of preventive and reactive maintenance activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Team to maintain and service the facility, equipment, and tools used at our site. This role requires a hands-on professional who enjoys troubleshooting and solving technical issues while ensuring minimal production downtime.

Responsibilities

• Execute and adhere to the company’s preventive maintenance and calibration program, covering key systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and production machinery.
• Perform and record regular perimeter checks on exterior and interior site systems.
• Maintain and repair production equipment, hardware, and systems, including irrigation systems, HVAC systems, and mobile equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues following established procedures.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and safety.
• Conduct routine replacement of air filters.
• Adhere to and enforce company safety procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Operate and maintain the computerized maintenance management system for preventive, reactive, and predictive maintenance and record keeping.
• Perform general maintenance tasks in and around the facility to support efficient operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability and efficiency.
