Role Summary :
This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of Safety Coordinator and Quality Lead to provide comprehensive safety and quality support across projects. The role supports field crews and supervisors as a health, safety, and quality management resource at the project level. This dual-function position ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, fosters continuous improvement, and promotes a culture of safety and quality throughout operations.
Core Responsibilities
Safety :
- Support field operations with safety activities.
- Train, coach, and mentor staff in safety policies and procedures outlined by Hall.
- Actively participate in the Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) and encourage others through leadership.
- Assist in auditing safety documentation to ensure compliance.
- Perform site inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Assist in injury management and report incidents as required.
Quality :
Support field operations via quality policy activities.Train, coach, and mentor staff in quality policies and procedures outlined by HallEnsure all projects comply with Hall’s Quality Management System (QMS).Conduct regular site inspections to audit adherence to quality policies.Participate in crew pre-activity meetings to observe and report on the effectiveness of meetings.Prepare daily quality Site inspection reports and communicate findings to the Quality Department.Technical Skills

Years of Experience : 3-5 years of experience in safety, quality, or a similar construction-related role.Education : High school diploma; post-secondary education in safety, quality management, or construction is an asset.Designations : NCSO (preferred but not required).Quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) considered an asset.Considered an Asset : Level 2 OFA or greater.BCCSA NCSO courses.Confined Space, Fall Protection certifications.Experience with quality management and materials testing.KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
