Who we need
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, we are adding a Senior Human Resources Generalist to our team in Toronto. You will be a trusted business partner to operational leadership, responsible for executing the organization's HR strategy, key projects, and initiatives including, employee engagement, performance management, and recruitment.
This is a hybrid role, with the need to be on-site at least 2 days a week. Array provides full PPE to all employees and we have implemented recommended health guidelines, including social distancing measures.
Who you are
You are an HR Business Partner looking for a step up to a role where you can be an individual contributor driving continuous improvement in the HR function while supporting 350 operations employees and managers in Canada with the best-practice policies, procedures, and programs. You have outstanding relationship-building abilities and are happy to be on-site, connecting directly with employees and managers on the production floor. Ideally, you are coming from a manufacturing environment that includes operations, production, and distribution.

As our Sr. HR Generalist, you will :
- Implement human resources programs . You will execute the HR strategy, provide HR services within our Toronto operations, explore opportunities to add value, and ensure and enforce compliance with employment standards.
- Own . You will spearhead special projects from end-to-end, setting and meeting deliverables and timelines.
- Build relationships. You will foster an open door policy and approachable manner, welcoming employees at all levels to assist with and solve HR issues. You will reach out to business leaders to understand their specific resourcing needs, coaching them on people management and development. You will improve manager and employee performance and relations by identifying and clarifying problems and counseling on solutions.
- Be the subject matter expert . You will be the primary contact person for operations management and employees, providing guidance and expertise on interpreting and implementing human resources processes, programs, and policies aligned with corporate goals and employment legislation.
- Manage employee issues. You will investigate and resolve employee complaints, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation (i.e., Employment Standard Act, Labour Relations Act) and counseling management where appropriate. You will recognize barriers to success and facilitate proactive dispute resolution, using judgment supported by human resources acumen and practical experience to escalate matters up to legal counsel if required.
What you bring
The experience. You have 3+ years in Human Resources working as a People Operations / HR Generalist or HRBP. Ideally, you are coming from a manufacturing environment that includes operations, production, and distribution.The open door. You are comfortable walking the manufacturing / warehouse floor, earning trust, and genuinely getting to know the teams. You have extensive employee relations experience to draw from and a track record of providing HR advice and solutions to leaders and individuals on employee and organizational issues.The hands-on HR knowledge. You demonstrate an understanding of People Operations practices in Canada, and you may have exposure to supporting a geographically distributed workforce. You have expertise in operations, employee engagement, performance management, change management, career development, compensation, employment law, and other compliance matters. You have end-to-end HR experience, including employee life cycle management.The collaboration skills. You are a relationship builder who is self-aware, with outstanding verbal, written, and presentation abilities. You can influence decisions, implement processes, and foster an inclusive culture. You have the people and conflict management skills to overcome challenging issues through to closure and help managers build high-performing teams.The analytical mindset. You have evidence-based decision-making abilities, with the ability to research and analyze data, leverage available resources, and present solutions. You have excellent judgment and can make thoughtful decisions as a creative problem solver.The drive. You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, no matter how big or small. You can work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, juggling several projects with a spirit of flexibility and a positive outlook.The technical skills. You are proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills, and you have experience using an HRIS. Ideally, you have been part of an HRIS implementation.Join us
