Description of the Job
We are seeking a Traffic and Documentation Import Coordinator to join our client's team in the logistics and transportation sector. The role involves managing purchase orders, negotiating rates with freight forwarders, handling customs documentation, and coordinating shipping logistics.
Responsibilities
- Create and track purchase orders
- Negotiate rates with freight forwarders
- Coordinate bookings and communicate with forwarders and suppliers
- Ensure proper documentation is received, reviewed, and submitted for customs clearance
- Verify documents against invoices and customs papers
- Calculate landed costs in Excel, convert to CAD, and include additional costs such as freight, brokerage, and duties
Qualifications
- Minimum two years' experience as a traffic and documentation coordinator
- Strong customer service and administrative skills
- Import experience, especially truck (land) coordination
- Experience in logistics and transportation management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
This position primarily uses English, as our client operates across multiple provinces outside Quebec.
