- Feed and unload production machinery and equipment
- Monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units
- Clean and maintain work space
- Clean chemical processing machines and equipment and production areas
- Measure, weigh and load chemical ingredients following formulation cards
- Move, sort and pile materials and products
- Record production information
- Start up, shut down and troubleshoot equipment
- Assist in operation, repair and maintenance
- Take samples
- Perform general labouring duties
- Operate equipment from a control room or from control consoles located near the production units
- Operate forklift
- Adjust processing machines and equipment
- Monitor reaction processes and transfers of products in conformance with safety procedures
