High School Teacher

Chief Aranazhi School1 Position : High School TeacherAlexis Board of Education is looking for a High School Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for a teacher who can build on the current strengths of our school and is focused on providing a balanced education through the delivery of approved curriculum that is grounded in traditional Alexis Nakota Sioux teachings.Our student population is approximately 120 from 7 to 12, our Native language is Nakota (Stoney) and we are located an hour northwest of the City of Edmonton and 30 minutes from the City of Spruce Grove.The successful applicant will begin duties at the commencement of the 2024-2025 school year; a competitive salary based on qualification, skill and experience will be paid.Applications will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. Minimum of 1 year teaching experience? Must be able to teach all core subjects,? Must be able to teach Compulsory high school subjects;? Preference is given to those with experience working with First Nations Children and Families;? Must be respectful of Nakota Sioux Traditions, Knowledge and Customs;? Preference is given to those with experience working with First Nations Children and Families;?
