Role Responsibilities

Senior Policy Analyst (Program Services 4) – Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and statistical analysis on social issues, drawing from national databases, legislation, academic journals, and administrative sources to support evidence‑informed decision‑making.
• Develop, maintain, and apply forecasting and analytical models to evaluate caseload trends, program impacts, and policy options, ensuring recommendations are substantiated and reliable.
• Prepare clear statistical reports, briefing notes, and presentations for executives, management, and stakeholders, highlighting demographic trends, program outcomes, and policy implications.
• Collaborate with colleagues, business analysts, and stakeholders across branches, divisions, and ministries to ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with program knowledge and business processes.
• Provide expert advice on research design, statistical methodologies, and data sources, supporting the development of performance indicators and accountability frameworks.
• Remain current on emerging trends, issues, and best practices nationally and internationally, applying insights to strengthen policy development and program planning.
