Job Summary
The Collation Operator collates 4 to 5 pieces of material by operating an Automated Collation Machine. The Operator sets ups and operates the Tapelaying Machine and adheres magnetic stripe material onto a clear overlay.
He or she reports daily totals to the Senior Leadhand and performs daily audit functions on the work in progress.

Monday through Friday, 2 : 30 pm - 10 : 30 pm
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Collation Machine as required
- Set up and operate Tapelaying Machine as required
- Continuously monitor Magnetic Stripe alignment throughout shift
- Make adjustments for proper alignment on machines when required
- Check production orders prior to the start of every shift for job requirements
- Produce sheets with proper Magnetic Stripes and correct alignment
- Record inventory control and material usage per job order
- Reset Collation and Tapelaying Machines to produce different Sheet and Magnetic Stripe sizes
- Responsible for conducting quality checks and procedures set by Management and Quality Control Department
- Follow daily schedule and productivity standards set for Collation / Tapelaying equipment by Senior Leadhand, which is mandatory
- Train new hires as required
- Organize, and clean workstation and machines after each shift
- Complete all daily paperwork and audit control sheets daily
- Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements
Work Experience :
- A minimum of 2 years of experience an asset as a Machine Operator is preferred
- Skills and Competencies :
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be organized and a good multi-tasker
- Basic computer knowledge is an asset
Education :
High School Diploma is preferred
Working Conditions
- May be required to work on a rotating shift when needed. (Days / Afternoons / Evenings)
- Overtime and weekend work at times may be required
- Safety shoes / boots are mandatory on the Production / Manufacturing floor
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work standing on both feet % of the time while operating machinery
- Ability to lift 10 50 lbs from the floor, up to waist level, frequently
- Ability to lift lbs with a second Operator
- Ability to frequently bend, lift, walk, crouch, sit and kneel
- Requires keen eyesight and alertness to detail
- May be required to work long periods of time at a computer screen
