Sr. Java Developer

Position Description :

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office ( Yonge Street) 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

1. Lead a team of developers in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

2. Design and implement architectural changes and refactor code to align with modern best practices and standards.

3. Evaluate and recommend modern technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance application functionality and performance.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners and Q.A to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.

5. Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and optimization to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.

6. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

7. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to application development and modernization.

8. Document technical designs, solutions and implementation processes for knowledge sharing and future reference.

9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

10. Frontend knowledge is a plus

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering. Master s degree is preferred.

2. Proven experience as a Technical lead in a software development environment.

3. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
