Business Analyst

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Business System Analyst for a senior-level hybrid role focused on technical and functional support of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will work closely with business units, vendors, and IT teams to support, enhance, and improve critical transportation and fleet systems within a dynamic and unionized environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and revise technical documentation to support ongoing application operations.

• Leverage ticketing platforms to log, monitor, resolve, and track user-reported issues and service requests.

• Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors to support system performance and service delivery.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of client-server architectures, web-based platforms, and SaaS applications.

• Oversee routine server operations, including configuration, monitoring, and administration tasks.

• Work within Agile frameworks to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and support iterative delivery.

• Deliver technical assistance and troubleshooting support for complex projects and major initiatives.

• Collaborate across departments in a fast-paced IT environment to drive effective solutions and support.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical analysis, with a strong background in process optimization using ITIL, Lean, Agile, DevOps, and Modern Service Management frameworks.

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level systems within complex IT environments

• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed system specifications; strong documentation and artefact creation skills.

• Comfortable working with executives, business stakeholders, unionized teams, and technical staff across departments.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Visio) and strong oral and written communication skills.
