Service Writer

Reporting to the Service Manager the Service Writer is a confident energetic CUSTOMER FOCUSED member of the Service department.

• Greet and WELCOME customers.
• Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information including the details of the vehicle concerns to assist with proper diagnosis.
• Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer.
• Confirm Warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims.
• Work with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear communication with the customer and ensure that their concerns are addressed quickly.
• Maintain this communication with the customers throughout the repair process including the customers approval of the repair an estimate of the cost and an expected time of completion.
• Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders
• Identify possible upcoming Preventative Maintenance services with customers and schedule for them.
• Maintain an organized work space and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.
