Opportunity
EY’s Canada Law Technology group is looking for a seasoned Technology Manager / Business Analyst who will enable us to transform and grow EY’s Law services. You will help design and implement innovative technology solutions to enable Law professionals to drive operational efficiencies and go to market with competitive offerings. You will engage closely with various business teams in the Law group to understand their processes in depth and help build and deploy more effective business processes and modern technology solutions. These solutions encompass a range of smart technologies, infrastructure, and coding languages such as Microsoft Azure (Cloud), Power Automate, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence Agents (AI), SharePoint, Co‑Pilot Studio, and Power BI / Data Analytics. You will also be responsible for assessing and deploying existing global tools or vendor software.
You will support requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of these innovative solutions, as part of the Canada Tax & Law Technology Group.
Key responsibilities
- Designing, improving, and implementing legal solutions, helping build applications with the latest possible technologies or implementing vendor solutions.
- Determine project scope and objectives from executives and develop project plans; manage project delivery through completion.
- Gather and evaluate needs from subject matter experts to understand current state and develop future state; collect, discuss, understand, and document requirements.
- Brainstorm and map out new processes.
- Monitor progress, manage risks & issues, prepare project documentation and summary reports as needed on a regular basis.
- Lead calls with business, technology, and other enablement teams (risk, marketing & communications, etc.) to effectively deliver on projects.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to identify and clear bottlenecks as needed.
- Translate assumptions, risks, and business requirements into technical design; create technical and process documentation.
- Contribute to technical design and support the development team.
- Work with agile development teams to deliver working solutions.
- Support application/system testing, upgrades, performance, and other operational needs.
- Manage user access and permissions.
- Project manage overall delivery and implementation.
- Support other ad‑hoc requests as required to assist with delivery (hands‑on role).
Skills And Attributes For Success
- Experience managing technology projects and driving change management.
- Experience managing stakeholder expectations and handling competing priorities.
- Strong project management skills; project management certification or equivalent is an asset.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively and think out‑of‑the‑box.
- Experience working with executive decision makers and strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies.
- Self‑starter and can manage own activities to get the desired result.
- An analytical mind and inclination for problem‑solving.
- Logical and efficient, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical details to non‑technical audiences.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal and oral communication skills.

- The ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Programming or Information Management or Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Technology Project Manager or Business Analyst role.
- Legal technology knowledge or experience preferred.
- Comfortable communicating with senior business stakeholders, developers, other business analysts and project managers.
- Knowledge and understanding of software development life‑cycle processes, agile development methodologies, software design and testing.
- Experience working on a variety of software development projects.
- Experience with workflow‑based solutions or functionality.
- Experience with consuming APIs.
- Experience with various modern web development technologies.
- Experience with vendor tool implementations.
- Experience with process improvement or innovation projects.
- Experience gathering & drafting requirements, developing process or architecture maps, and managing projects through the entire life cycle.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence technologies and AI agents (nice to have).
