Schedule :

12 hour day shift - 7am to 7pm

12-hour night shift - 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Location : 315 Knowlton Rd, Knowlton, Québec J0E 1V0, Canada

On a 3-2-2-3 schedule : 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. So out of 10 days, you work 5 days.

This is an immediate opportunity for a permanent position. Once you've joined the KDC team, the possibilities for development are endless.

The assistant mechanic works in collaboration with the technical team. They are responsible for maintaining and organizing the tool room and mobile equipment fleet.

They are responsible for preparing and executing format changeovers.

Responsibilities

As an assistant mechanic, your tasks will be :

• Participate to the changeovers / setup on the production lines;
• Adjust the equipment towards the different product;
• Give technical support to production lines;
• Verify the availability of the mobile equipment to prevent and manage equipment conflict;
• Participate to the effort of standardization and continuous improvement process related to the equipment.

Qualifications

Assistant mechanic must have :

Good mechanical knowledge and skills

Knowledge of IT tools (AS400, Suite Office)

Be bilingual in French and English

Enjoy teamwork

Demonstrate autonomy and initiative
