Junior Maintenance Technician Nordic Minesteel Technologies

Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Highway 11 facility. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced maintenance professionals, assisting with routine inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs of plant equipment and facilities. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspecting, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting of various types of machinery and equipment (presses, welders, front end loaders, lift trucks etc.)
• Maintain essential building systems
• Perform general ground maintenance, including snow removal, grass cutting, trimming and upkeep of outdoor areas
• Respond to maintenance work requests and record all repairs
• Work with and oversee the work performed by contractors
• Requisition of maintenance supplies and services
• Ensure proper scheduling through the applicable software program for preventative maintenance
• Document daily maintenance reports
• Ongoing skills upgrading to keep up with changing technologies
• Maintain a self-motivated, positive and outgoing attitude
• Operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner
