Slalom Calgary is looking for Data Engineers to join our team and help grow our practice. As a Data Engineering team member, you will develop and deliver modern data solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing cloud data solutions using Azure.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and manage data solutions on cloud platforms (Azure required / AWS preferred).Create and maintain data pipelines, data storage solutions, data processes, and data integrations to enable data-driven decision-making.Data wrangling of heterogeneous data sources for exploring and discovering new insightsDevelop and implement data integration processes using various integration tools to transform data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakehouses.Use big data technologies like Databricks to handle and analyze large volumes of dataTechnical delivery will include the building, troubleshooting, or optimizing of some or all of the following : Batch / Streaming Ingestion, ETL / ELT, Storage, Data Lakes, OLTP Databases, OLAP Data Warehouses, Data ModellingBe a self-starter, effective in breaking down large problems into smaller ones, and eager to regularly share what you learn with others within your projects and in the broader Slalom communitySupports people processes in capability / account (e.g., delivery, utilization targets, client grown, pre-sales)Previous Databricks or Snowflake project implementation experience is an asset.Expand trusted relationships beyond primary customers and teams growing and managing professional networkWhat You'll Bring
