Position and Responsibilities
- The Program Coordinator, Local Immigration Partnership will receive direction from the Manager, Local Immigration Partnership and will :
- Take a lead role in collaborate with internal and external partners to facilitate and develop portfolio-related programs, initiatives, responses, and activities
- Track, maintain and analyze data and summarize findings to meet reporting requirements and inform portfolio-related initiatives
- Work with the Policy Advisor to recommend strategies to resolve emerging issues by using expertise and knowledge to determine best solutions
- Develop community capacity, through the implementation of a wide range of disciplines, with the goal of improving the quality of life for all residents
- Plan and facilitate community engagement activities
- Act as a liaison between programs and community members / partners
- Research program related trends and challenges
- Support the review and evaluation of programs and development of results indicators
- Support data management, including maintaining up to date records on program performance
- Lead and coordinate the production of internal and external reports
- Prepare briefing material, speaking notes, correspondence, etc.
- Co-create communications products (e.g., social media and website content) related to the program portfolios
The successful applicant will possess :
A post secondary diploma in social justice, public administration, education, social sciences, political science, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experienceSound knowledge of Federal and Provincial legislation impacting the program portfolioExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsStrong organizational, time management and project management skillsStrong facilitation and listening skills, consultation, and community engagement skillsStrong research, data analysis, conceptual, critical, and problem-solving skillsThe ability to interpret current or proposed legislation and regulation and identify impacts on the RegionKnowledge of external agencies and potential external partners that share objectives with the RegionA capacity to integrate an equity-informed perspective into project planning, analysis, and executionPolitical acuity and networking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite of programs including PowerBI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and experience with AdobeCUPE 1764 Salary Grade 5
This position is with Salary Grade 5 and will be paid at the following hourly rates :
Start : $40.13Six Month : $42.36Job : $44.59Conditions of Employment
