The Work :

Claims Analyst - Pricing

Job Summary :

The Claims Data Analyst will lead the detailed evaluation of claims and operational data, generating insights that support pricing strategies, liability assessments, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with expertise in data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Data Analysis : Collect, validate, and analyze claims and operational data to identify trends that impact financial performance, risk management, and strategic decisions.
  • Liability Estimation : Assist with estimating liabilities by identifying emerging trends early and developing forecasts based on available data.
  • Pricing Insights : Provide data insights that inform pricing strategies by identifying key information not captured in traditional reporting metrics.
  • Reporting : Generate regular reports to track claims trends and performance. Collaborate with teams to explain deviations from expectations and identify root causes.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., customer service, operations) to ensure the effective use of data for process optimization and business decisions.
  • Process Improvement : Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending strategies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills :

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, or SAS) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with large datasets and databases (SQL is preferred).
  • Understanding of business operations and data-driven decision-making principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education :

    Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field..

    Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related analytical role.
