Our client is an employee-owned, award-winning, architectural practice firm with a proven track record in practical, innovative and economical design. During a history spanning some 60 years, They have designed some of Canada’s most notable buildings.
The employee-owned firm is staffed with well over 100 experienced architects, designers, project managers, administrative staff, including LEED, Evidence-Based Design and LEAN accredited professionals, many of whom are dedicated to specific market sectors.
SENIOR ARCHITECT
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate and foster team environment to deliver the highest level of design.
- Manage the design team and subconsultant coordination process.
- Ability to lead and present in meetings with clients or municipalities
- Direct and oversee high-quality documentation, provide guidance with technical detail, & explore new solutions
- Ability to drive the project forward towards successful completion / Motivates and challenges others to perform at their best
- Participates in networking activities within the design industry and professional organizations
- Manage Construction Administration process, able to work independently and handle RFI’s, site visits, field reports, & submittal review
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degreeMinimum of 10 years of professional experienceExperience in the healthcare, justice, institutional, commercial and research areas preferredEager to learn, good listener, curious & proactive with strong time management skillsClear understanding of applicable codes & building construction systems, materials, and standardsUnderstanding of Permitting & Entitlement process.High proficiency with Revit, Sketchup, & Adobe Creative SuitePlease apply with a copy of your most up to date resume / C.V and portfolio if possible.
