Job Description
As a member of the Defined Benefit Administration team, the Manager will be responsible for the ongoing administration of some of Sun Life’s key pension plan clients for Group Retirement Services. The Manager will work in partnership with the Client Relationship and Operations teams to support various tasks related to those clients.
What will you do?
Act as subject matter expert on the administration of defined benefit pension plans
Engage in cross-functional planning, execution and validation of tasks related to defined benefit pension plan administration
Calculate and validate benefits related to life events in accordance with applicable legislation
Take part in the production and verification of annual statements
Provide support to the DB Operations team on plan rules and other complex matters
Take part in the various quality control and audit processes
Review and analyse quotes, plan rules and data to ensure that information is complete and accurate
Manage all aspect of the data upload to the source system to on board all plan members
Support and suggest continuous process improvement ideas
What do you need to succeed?
University degree in actuarial science or related field of study
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Defined Benefits or Group Retirement Services
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
Expertise in working with large volume of data in Microsoft Excel
