Peter Lucas Project Management is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in support of a major industrial operation in Saskatchewan. This position provides technical and operational engineering support within a processing facility, with a focus on optimizing plant performance, supporting safe operations, and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, site-based opportunity suited for an engineer with experience in heavy industrial or mineral processing environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable process performance
- Monitor and evaluate process conditions, trends, and performance data to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist in troubleshooting operational challenges and support investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to enhance equipment performance and process stability
- Support the development and execution of process optimization initiatives and plant improvement projects
- Participate in structured change management processes, including technical reviews and risk evaluations
- Contribute to hazard identification activities and ensure engineering considerations align with safety and regulatory requirements
- Develop technical documentation, including engineering scopes, specifications, and design packages for plant modifications
- Provide technical input and coordination for small capital and sustaining projects from planning through implementation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and vendors to support maintenance, upgrades, and operational initiatives
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to operations personnel as required
- Support site safety programs and actively contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience working in an industrial setting.Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering from a recognized university.A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering may also be considered with suitable industrial and project experience.Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training in Saskatchewan (APEGS).Preference given to those with experience working at an industrial facility.Previous experience working within MOC programs would be considered an asset.Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is considered an asset.Working knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.Knowledge of codes, standards and best engineering practices as applied to mining and milling applications is considered an asset.Benefits
