Senior Municipal Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Municipal Engineer looking to progress your career? We're looking for a Senior Municipal Engineer to join our growing team. We are open to filling this position in our Fredericton office.

A typical day on the job might look like :

Preparing engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective design solutions.

Reviewing drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, compliance and constructability.

Supporting construction administration activities, including site inspections and responding to contractors inquiries.

Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce and review detailed civil design plans.

Communicating with clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with expectations.

Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff as needed.

Office-based design / project management with site visits to projects as required

Adhering to all company policies.

Other duties as required.

Your background and what you bring :

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

810 years of experience in civil engineering consulting, including municipal and infrastructure design.

Registered or eligible for registration with APEGNB.

Proven experience in project management, including budget, schedule, and client coordination.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.

Strong understanding of water, sanitary, and stormwater systems, as well as road and site grading design.

Experience preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Familiarity with construction administration and site inspection.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Valid drivers license and have access to a personal vehicle for work related travel.
