Position Summary
- To ensure an effective, efficient and safe shipping and receiving area
- To lead and engage the hourly group to ensure production receives all materials on time and in full
- To ensure finish good shipments are sent out on time and in full directly from Walkerville site and Pike Creek facility
- Inventory and excise control of all dry and finish goods at the Walkerville facility

OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son’s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities.Customer Service – ensure product is delivered on time and in full; internally and externallyResource Management – ensure efficient and effective use of resources – including people, space, equipment and facilityDirect supervision of Material Handling Utility Operators and Receivers to ensure maximum effectiveness in resource utilization, logistical efficiency, product quality, operating costs, production schedule attainment and customer service.Inventory Accuracy & Excise ComplianceDry supply and finish good cycle countDirect shipments to customersShipments to Pike Creek facilitySupervision of shuttle servicesManagement of people including scheduling, Kronos, absenteeism, discipline and convivialityExecution Overhead & CAPEX BudgetContinuous ImprovementHealth & Safety. Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience in Distribution / Material HanldingThorough understanding of inventory management and warehouse systems including JDE databaseExcellent verbal and communication skillsAble to multi-task and troubleshoot effectivelyProblem Solving, root cause analysisStrong Communication skillsHealth and safety complianceAccident / Incident investigationEducation
