Fuel Analyst

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Fuel Analyst for our Head Office, Dieppe, NB. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Fuel Analyst goal is to process all fuel-related invoices to keep the fuel card payments up to date. They are responsible for all fuel analysis for statements and month end processing. They will issue fuel cards that are required for new drivers as well as replacements cards. They also perform audits as required.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade Certification/College Diploma
• You have 2 years’ business-related experience in the transportation industry
• Effective communicator with a demonstrated ability to work within team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the focus on meeting strict deadlines
• Extensive knowledge of the multiple systems used within the department
• Extensive knowledge of other processes and departments within the business
• Ability to work effectively with Excel

Responsibilities

• Enter fuel invoices on a weekly basis to ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner to keep fuel accounts up to date so there is no disruption to the drivers’ fuel cards
• Monitor in box for issues and prepare and send out fuel cards as required for new drivers as well as replacements cards when needed
• Fuel Incentive Program is complete on a quarterly basis. This requires analysis and processing from the fuel analyst and gaining approval to proceed. Then a mail merge is done for the letters to the drivers and incentive is paid out
• Monthly fuel analysis at period end if performed. Fuel cost above base and the bulk reconciliation is completed as well
• Perform various audits throughout the month to ensure fuel cards are being used properly and to ensure there is no fraud happening with the fuel cards
